Indeed, many of the people employed in voluntary organisations have gained their professional experience elsewhere and are welcomed for the expertise that they can bring to charitable organisations; but it is time that we start to consider the sector as one that holds one of the greatest potential for growth and job creation.  We need to commence the process of professionalizing the sector as it has been in many of the developed countries.
